HP Envy cresce e vira um modelo de 17 polegadas

O Envy 17 tem o design gravado a laser familiar aos modelo atual de 15 polegadas, e abriga processadores que podem ser tão bons quanto um Core i7 com ATI Mobility Radeon 5850. Vem com estrondoso áudio Beats e uma coleção completa de portas, incluindo uma USB 3.0, além de poder ser configurado com até 2TB de armazenamento e 8GB de RAM DDR3. O de 17 polegadas também suporta ATI Eyefinity, o que significa que você pode ligá-lo a múltiplos monitores.

Apesar do Mark estar torcendo para que eles esquecessem o drive óptico para fazer mais espaço para uma bateria melhor, tanto o HP 14 e o HP 17 têm drives por padrão. E isso nem é a pior coisa, especialmente no HP 17. Ele pesa 3,4kg, o que significa que ele não será lá muito portátil, essencialmente tornando um computador de mesa. Ser capaz de carregar um Blu-Ray e assisti-lo naquela tela de 1920×1080, porém, é algo que eu sentiria falta se não fosse possível fazer.

O Envy 17 estará disponível a partir de 19 de Maio, começando por US$ 1.400. Não é tão caro assim, considerando os componentes, mas também não é nem um pouco barato.

HP ENVY 14 and 17
The new HP ENVY 14 and 17 deliver premium experiences to satisfy the most demanding customers. The notebooks offer the ideal balance of design and technology by combining the latest in manufacturing with artistic expression and world-class performance.
Both ENVY notebooks feature powerful Intel® processors(1) and ATI Mobility RadeonTM high-definition (HD) 5830 discrete graphics for gaming, videos and 3-D images. They come with a backlit keyboard, slot-loading optical drive, HP TrueVision HD(2) webcam, a mini DisplayPort Connector and the latest in wireless(3) and connectivity options.
The notebooks also include BeatsTM Audio, a unique, high-performance technologydeveloped by HP and Beats by Dr. DreTM to provide the optimal sound experience – the way the artist intended it – when playing music or audio through headphones or external speakers.
The slim and light ENVY 14 features a precision-crafted design with a 14.5-inch diagonal HD(2) Radiance display that offers picture quality up to 59 percent brighter than any notebook with a standard display.
