O novo serviço de músicas na nuvem da Sony é animal, mas também não está disponível para o Brasil
A Sony anunciou o serviço de músicas baseados na nuvem, Music Unlimited, em setembro e já o havia disponibilizado para alguns produtos da empresa. Misturando rádio online e armazenamento na nuvem, a oferta da Sony parece até melhor que do Google, Apple, Amazon e Spotify. E o melhor: você pode usar qualquer celular Android para acessar via 3G ou Wi-Fi – e não só um Xperia, como poderia se esperar. A má notícia esperada: não funciona no Brasil.
O app já está disponível no Android Market dos Estados Unidos, França, Alemanha, Irlanda, Itália, Espanha, Reino Unido, Austrália e Nova Zelândia. O serviço é pago – U$4 por mês pelo pacote básico e U$10 pelo pacote premium – e dá acesso a uma biblioteca musical de mais de sete milhões de músicas das quatro maiores gravadoras Americanas.
Enquanto a briga lá fora entre os serviços de música na nuvem fica cada vez mais acirrada, com várias opções para os mais diversos dispositivos, preços competitivos e muito conteúdo, aqui o serviço ainda está longe de virar realidade.

The cloud-based, digital music service gives music lovers streaming access at anytime and anywhere(ii) to an ever expanding catalogue of currently over seven million licensed songs from major labels including Universal Music Group, Sony Music Entertainment, Warner Music Group and EMI Music as well as leading independent labels and major publishers worldwide.
Users can now enjoy the service on Sony Ericsson’s Android-based mobile devices including Xperia™ arc, Xperia™ PLAY, Xperia™X10, Xperia™X8 and Xperia™ neo as well as Android-based third party devices(iii). Users can also continue to access the service on a wide variety of internet-connected Sony devices including 2010 and 2011 models of network-enabled BRAVIA® HDTVs, Blu-ray Disc™ players and Blu-ray Disc Home Theater systems as well as the PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system, PSP™ (PlayStation®Portable) and personal computers including VAIO®(iv) personal computers.
