Os processadores Intel Core i7 são animais, como já sabemos. A Dell (e a sua marca Alienware) está lançando uma nova linha de laptops e desktops para tirar proveito da potência e das capacidades dos i7.

Não há grandes mudanças no Studio 15, no Studio 17 ou no Studio XPS 16. Eles mantêm o mesmo estilo e boa parte das especificações – mas o chip Core i7 e (no Studio 17 e no Studio XPS 16) as novas placas de vídeo devem fazer com que eles tenham desempenho melhor do que a linha atual.



O Dell Studio 17 é um equipamento focado em multimídia, com tela de 17,3 polegadas e sistema de som 2.1, além de placa de vídeo ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4650 de 1 GB e bateria de nove células. Esse desktop replacement custará a partir de US$ 1.100, e seu corpo será um pouco mais magro do que o do modelo atual. A Dell ainda nos informou que haverá uma opção com touchscreen com multitoque ainda neste ano.

O Studio 15 também ganha atualização, com o mesmo processador Intel Core i7 720QM a 1,6 GHz do Studio 17 e placa de vídeo ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4570 de 512 MB. Custará a partir de US$ 1.000. Dell has updated the new Studio 17, and the result is an entertainment powerhouse excelling at both creating and consuming multimedia content. New features a JBL-branded 2.1 audio solution with SRS Premium Sound – two 1.5-watt speakers in the palmrest and a 6-watt subwoofer in the base. The spacious 17.3-inch HD+ 16:9 display is great for watching HD content, and includes a 2.0MP webcam. A few other items of interest: this is the first Studio laptop to feature a 1GB graphic solution, and also supports dual hard drives. To complement the upgraded technology and features, the Studio 17 is actually slightly thinner and lighter than its predecessor. With a starting price of $1,099, the Studio 17 includes
