Aqui está uma boa notícia: o iPod Touch, o mais legal dos tocadores de MP3 da Apple, está mais barato. Agora a versão de 8 GB sai por US$ 199 – em preço justo, pré-custo-Brasil. Com isso você poderá entrar no mundo de 70 mil aplicativos da App Store da Apple, terá um ótimo browser de internet e um jukebox bem decente. A má notícia: o novo novo iPod Touch, terceira geração, não tem câmera como esperávamos e custa 100 dólares a mais (o que dá R$ 500, na cotação da Fnac e similares) do que o antigo. Mas você vai querer o bicho, ao menos como videogame de bolso.
O iPoud Touch terceira geração traz o chip gráfico e o processador do novo iPhone, que é, segundo a Apple, 50% mais rápido, nas versões 32 GB (US$ 299) e 64 GB (US$ 399). Ele tem capacidade de rodar aplicativos em Open GL 2.0. O que significa jogos. E foi basicamente o que foi visto na conferência da Apple para mostrar suas capacidades. Antes das bonitas demos de Assassin’s Creed 2 e um jogo de tiro em primeira pessoa parecido com Halo (lá em cima), alguns números:
Esses são os títulos (jogos e entretenimento, o que quer que isso signifique) lançados para cada uma das plataformas portáteis de jogos hoje. É claro que pelo menos 21.000 desses do iPhone são meio lixo, mas não deixa de ser um número respeitável. Outro ponto destacado pela Apple: os joguinhos são bem baratos. Sim, eles são casuais em sua esmagadora maioria, mas bem baratos de qualquer forma. E vários já apostam na jogabilidade multiplayer, via wi-fi ou bluetooth. Resta saber se os jogos mais elaborados vão rodar bem nos iPod Touch de segunda geração.
A bateria do iPod terceira geração dura, segundo a Apple, 30 horas para música e 6 para vídeo (H.264 de 640×480) na espaçosa tela widescreen de 3.5 polegadas. O sistema operacional oferece o copiar e colar, busca global em documentos e o ótimo browser (Safari). É um iPhone mais barato, sem telefone ou 3G (mas com bluetooth e Wi-fi), com bateria que dura mais. Vale à pena? Eu quero um jukebox/videogame e estou esperando o Zune HD ser lançado (dia 15) para ver como ele se integra com a Xbox Live e o que oferece em termos de joguinhos em geral.
