Dando sequência à temporada de premiações de 2023, a 28ª edição do Critics Choice Awards aconteceu no último domingo (15), e premiou os melhores filmes e séries de TV. O evento recebeu celebridades de Hollywood no Fairmont Century Plaza Hotel, em Los Angeles, nos Estados Unidos, para entregar as estatuetas.
O grande destaque da noite no Critics Choice Awards foi “Tudo em Todo o Lugar ao Mesmo Tempo”, que recebeu 14 indicações. Desse total, a produção levou cinco prêmios, incluindo o de Melhor Filme, além de Melhor Direção, Roteiro Original, Ator Coadjuvante e Edição. Ainda nos longas, Brendan Fraser venceu como Melhor Ator em “The Whale” e Cate Blanchett como Melhor Atriz em “Tár”.

Já na categoria Televisão, “Abbott Elementary” foi escolhida como a melhor série de comédia, “Better Call Saul” como a melhor de drama e “The Dropout” como melhor minissérie. Nomes como Zendaya, Jennifer Coolidge e Amanda Seyfriend venceram mais uma premiação em 2023 pelo papéis em “Euphoria”, “The White Lotus” e “The Dropout”, respectivamente.
Além disso, o Critics Choice escolhe também um destaque internacional no ano. Na categoria, a coprodução de Japão e Coreia do Sul “Pachinko” venceu. Já entre os filmes, estrangeiro premiado foi o indiano “RRR”. Vale destacar que o ator Jeff Bridges foi homenageado com o prêmio de carreira artística, e a cantora e atriz Janelle Monáe recebeu o prêmio SeeHer, dedicado a mulheres inspiradoras.
O Critics Choice Awards é uma das principais premiações da crítica especializada norte-americana do cinema e da televisão, além de ser considerado um dos termômetros do Oscar, bem como o Globo de Ouro, que entregou seus prêmios na semana passada.
